Parent Involvement and Communication
We value our relationships with parents and believe that regular open communication is essential in early childcare education. The centre owners work in the centre everyday and you’ll find they regularly communicate with all parents on a daily basis, usually with a friendly welcome when you walk through the door.
We strongly encourage you to be involved in our Centre life and we regularly extend invitations for you to participate in our activities, excursions, policy reviews and self-reviews.
We have various means of communicating your child’s progress and centre happenings through;
- Monthly newsletters
- Your child’s portfolio*
- Brief information exchanges at the beginning/end of the day
We always make ourselves available and can be approached anytime to discuss your child’s development.
We work with you to determine the best way to serve your child’s needs, Please contact us to arrange a time if your child has a special need. We currently partner with external resources (i.e speech therapist), working together in developing your child’s full potential.
Toys and Other Treasures From Home
Cuddle or security items are welcome and are used to help settle your child to sleep – please clearly name these.
We would prefer that children leave their own toys and other objects at home as we cannot guarantee their condition and whereabouts at the end of the day. Also, some objects or toys can actually be unsafe to have at the Centre.
